Professional Errors and Omission Insurance (E&O) covers a professional should they unintentionally overlook a problem that may have caused a financial liability to their client. 

A professional Home Inspector must prove to the insurance company that they are competent, proficient and an acceptable risk in order to obtain E&O insurance. 

Most Home Inspectors will carry "General Liability" insurance but very few can qualify or afford "Errors & Omission" insurance.
